The product: Anita Massage Sport Tights

Why we love it: These tights are seriously supportive. Almost like a well-fitted bra — but for your lower body.

Referred to in the brand’s press material as “the iphone of Activewear,” these athletic leggings feature innovative textured fabric that massages the skin while also providing compression to the skin and lymphatic system. The textile also transports moisture away from skin to help keep you dry.

The leggings were the winner of the 2018 ISPO Award and the International Forum Design Award. They’re available in two colours, black and fuchsia, and in sizes ranging from 6-18.

“The Sports Tights Massage leggings have real physical benefits to the wearer aside from just looking good," Olivia Leroux, an Anita Fit Expert and marketing and sales director, said in a news release. “Not only can the leggings be worn during any physical activity — walking, running, cycling — but also when travelling, sedentary for longer periods, in cases of lymphedema symptoms and/or poor circulation of the legs.”

We tried these leggings out during a day-on-the-go that ended with a visit to the gym. The tights fit, well, tight — but are very comfortable. The nubby fabric provides a unique sensation on the skin’s surface, with a soft, massaging effect.

The form-fitting cut enhances one’s shape for a flattering fit, but it’s the fact that these leggings promise to improve circulation that kept us interested in wearing them again and again. We can’t wait to try out the compression technology on a long-haul flight. The price: $115
