Now for the predictions, with comic relief provided by the hapless Rob Vanstone …
TORONTO AT CALGARY (FRIDAY, 7 P.M.)
Taman: The Stamps can be caught for first place, right? Argos have a chance for the playoffs, right? Both notions are laughable. Stampeders by 20.
Vanstone: I haven’t seen a mismatch like this since Brendan Taman tried on a new suit. Stampeders by 13.
B.C. AT HAMILTON (SATURDAY, 2 P.M.)
Taman: If it is a close game that requires a coach’s decision … well, we know how that worked out last week, don’t we? Luckily for the Tiger-cats, they will win by nine and a late-game punt single will not be needed.
Vanstone: June Jones is coaching the Tiger-cats. Lions by two.
WINNIPEG AT EDMONTON (SATURDAY, 5 P.M.)
Taman: A “statement” game for both squads. Neither team has been consistent or impressive lately. Home team gets the edge. Eskimos by four.
Vanstone: Pick the team with the better quarterback. Hello there, Mike Reilly. Eskimos by six.
SASKATCHEWAN AT MONTREAL (SUNDAY, 11 A.M.)
Taman: The battle for the first overall Canadian draft pick heats up as Montreal and Toronto battle for the basement. There is incentive for the Alouettes to win since they don’t have their own selection anymore. Roughriders by 28.
Vanstone: The Alouettes are at home … in the basement. Roughriders by nine.
Records after Week 15: Taman 39-18 (2-2 last week); Vanstone 37-20 (3-1 last week).
FANTASY PLAYERS TOWATCH
Taman: Luke Tasker. The Hamilton receiver will have a stellar game and be motivated to ensure the game is settled early. No need for a crazy ending this week. (I could pick Steve Tasker and still beat Vanstone.)
Vanstone: Patrick Mahomes. Nailed it!
Review of Week 15 fantasy picks:
Vanstone chose Duron Carter. I could have chosen Manziel as a receiver and emerged victorious. Ha ha ha ha ha! Vanstone’s predictions appear weakly, and … Taman’s Take appears weekly.
