Supergrid, Beta Test top list of Saskatchewan Independent Film Awards nominations
The Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative announced nominees for its fifth annual Saskatchewan Independent Film Awards on Friday afternoon.
Feature film Supergrid, directed by Lowell Dean, and Joel Makar’s Beta Test lead the nominations, appearing in three of the five categories.
An audience choice award is voted on at the awards and film screening, taking place Nov. 23, 8 p.m. at The Artesian.
Comedian Shawn Koch hosts. Tickets are $10 and available at eventbrite.com.
A total of 18 films were nominated, chosen from 37 short and feature-length independent films submitted.
