SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 2018 Neptune Turnaround

Between the Gemini moon and this Neptune turnaround, there will be those who seem proud of their lack of a filter, as though their top of mind expressions are a gift to the world. Maybe so -- for gorillas. Humans are usually better for observing, processing and at least attempting to understand the range of nuance in communication.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). You can love like a child, a parent, a concerned citizen, an adolescent. None of these is right or wrong, but it’s somehow helpful to be aware of what characterization you’re inside.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Your exciting life is too involving to let trivial matters interrupt the flow. Even so, small pleasures aren’t trivial matters. The distinction will be key today.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Close relationships sometimes become close by accident. But they can only stay close through deliberate decisions to do so. Good relationships involve honoring the commitment and choosing the work, time and again.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). A person who doesn’t seem to be paying attention is actually paying quite a lot of attention, just not to the thing you’d prefer. Figure out where the attention is going. Is this a loop of self-absorption? If so, run, don’t walk, away.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Feelings will burble up, asking to be tended to, however inconvenient that may seem. Be brave. Take the emotional plunge. See what’s there. Yes, a little pain goes with it, but it’s over quickly. And then the healing begins.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Good news for all Virgos: Planning leads to happiness. And today you’re in just the mood to set your sites on the future, plunk down cash and dream through the days that lead up to the fun.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). If you were a cartoon character with an angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other, your angel would get a lot more screen time today. Removing temptation from your field of vision gives the devil little to talk about.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). There are a great number of people who think along similar lines as you, enjoy the same music, love the same food. They just don’t happen to be in your immediate family. Branch out to the other seven and a half billion.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Due to life’s interruptions and temporary complications, there are personal rituals that have fallen to the wayside. Consider bringing them back. You now have the space to commit.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Maybe it sounds flippant, but the phrase “who cares?” can also be liberating. Given that you’re not in charge of the entire world, it will feel right to limit your caring to the things you actually care about.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You’ll have the choice of whether to purchase a thing or an event. While material possessions age and decay, memories age and solidify under the strong varnish of nostalgia.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Put learning to learn on the agenda. Also, thinking about thinking belongs there. If you know how to think about a thing, the action that follows will be an organic extension.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (Nov. 24). At first it’s slow progress toward your concrete goal, and then momentum picks up, with different and better results than intended. Build on it by investing more effort and rallying more people. You’ll capture magic, share with a group and start a creative sideline. The windfalls will be in February and May. Gemini and Aries adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 10, 2, 28, 37 and 17.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTION: “Do you believe in miracles, Holiday?

I’m a Leo who is feeling down and out, even though everything about my life is pretty much fine. I’m lucky to have a job and I take care of my family and everything is going along. But I just feel so low most of the time. I wish someone would strike me with a magic wand and bring me up. What do my stars say? (8/12/1969).”

Sounds like you’re looking for the miracle of enlightenment, literally translated as “lightening up.” You’re living an interesting paradox though because you have relied on your weighty sense of responsibility to get you this far. Your accomplishments have happened because you have taken your work and your relationships seriously. But these days you are driving yourself so hard to keep all of the wonderful things you already have -- like your home, your family relationships and your job -- that you’re leaving very little time for the kind of play that Leos absolutely need to feel buoyant. As for miracles, most all of them happen out of action. Your action step is to create larger margins in your life to play and enjoy yourself.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Miley Cyrus has been been a child star, a cultural icon and a pop chart-topper, though her natal chart reveals that this wild Sagittarius is only just getting started. Sagittarius spirit is adventurous and courageous. Cyrus has her natal moon, Mercury and Pluto in the charismatic (and mischievous) sign of Scorpio. Mars in maternal Cancer shows a nurturing instinct, which Cyrus channels toward her siblings.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 2018 Annual Solar Conjunction With Jupiter

There are emotions that have no place in a positive mindset, but how can you avoid them? You feel what you feel! The solar conjunction with Jupiter declares a buffer zone where it really is safe to let go of resentment. You’ll remember what happened and avoid repeating trouble. A breath of positivity will attract better circumstances and people.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). There is nothing to hurry to or from. Don’t be pushed around by the bully of space-time. A few moments will not make a difference, except in the feeling you carry around with you. Relax.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Anthropomorphizing animals has been commonplace throughout human history, though you’ll find it spiritually energizing to honor the animal-ness of animals and to regard your own animal-ness as equally worthy of respect.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Two emotional ingredients that pair well together are honesty and gentleness. Blunt honesty can cause trauma worse than many lies. And if you get into a position where you’re really not sure, silence is often the genius move.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). You’re back to wondering how you might improve your life. Hint: There’s no purchase involved. That tip alone should eliminate a lot of the noise around your development.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Whatever you are curious about, get deeper into it. Go ahead and tackle the big questions. There’s much good that comes of asking how things might be accomplished, especially seemingly impossible things.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). They needed a leader, and everyone pointed to you. Wonder why it’s you again? It’s because you communicate like a true leader, which is to say you listen more than you talk.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Emotional weather becomes sunny when a front of enthusiasm meets a jet stream of laughter. Bonus: Because you’re there when the positive feelings are flowing, the glow of sunny skies will always be associated with you.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). The plans go out the window because the intuitive whims lead you in an entirely different and more fortuitous direction. Being flexible opens you to felicity. On a side note: Someone is falling in love with your smile.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). The difference between tools and weapons is intent of usage. Circumstances arise, and there’s a judgment call to make. It could go a lot of ways. It’s your choice, really: defense, offense, creation, reparation...

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). While surrounded by half-asleep people, you have ideas about what should happen next, what you’d like to see, make, do. Once you give your motivational jump-start, everyone will wake up.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You speak from your heart and tell the truth, which makes it easy to keep track. Those who can’t seem to manage this ease are either moving so quickly through life it’s hard to remember it all or lying.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You may get the sense that whatever the group is doing, it’s not for you. Heed your need for independence. There’s something you’ll discover all on your own.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (Nov. 25). Your decisiveness will allow you to live more experiences than you did last year -- with no time wasted waffling between options. A sidekick will help your momentum toward a goal. More glories this solar return include a special reunion, the upward mobility you’ve long aspired to and a key part in a family victory. Leo and Capricorn adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 42, 14, 9, 28 and 30.

FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD: As the Mercury retrograde actively antagonizes all in its path (and accidentally harmonizes at many points along the way), try to roll with the little earthquakes. The ground never stops shifting here on earth. We take this for granted, so it may come as a surprising realization that this isn’t the case for most other planets we know about. Mercury is a one-plate planet. That ground doesn’t budge. Mars hasn’t moved a plate in billions of years. Seeing as scientists speculate that plate tectonics have driven the biodiversity of life here, we owe the vitality of the planet to the ever-shifting ground. It’s something to keep in mind with the changes coming this week. Change is life. To have to balance ourselves on a sliding, bouncing crust of ground makes us stronger, more adaptable and much more beautiful and interesting for the effort.

To make the most of the sun’s alignment with Jupiter, decide to forgive and move on from anger. Too hard? Try working it from another angle. Actively seek new lines of thought. Work on your mental game, focusing it on the glorious stuff you’re moving toward. Put more good stuff in and the bad stuff gets shoved out naturally, if gradually, and you’ll wake up one day and find that your anger is long gone.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Christina Applegate’s parents were in the entertainment industry, and this savvy Sagittarius got her first acting job when she was 5 months old. Her having five luminaries in Sagittarius signals adventurousness, even fearlessness. Having one’s moon and Mars in Pisces is an ideal aspect for actors and artists and, in this case, also indicates a highly developed intuitive sense.
