WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 5, 2018 Cosmic Love Forecast

Venus transits considered, the cosmic forces currently agree with William Shakespeare in that friendship is constant except for in matters of love. Every heart has its own language. “Let every eye negotiate for itself and trust no agent.” Who someone loves is a very particular thing and no friend can tell another the soundness of that idea.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). Selfworth and net worth are not interchangeable values. For you, this fact is a no-brainer. For some others you know, it will take time and life experience to learn -- bear with them.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Maybe it’s not, as they say, “all good,” but there is little time to waste rejecting the parts that aren’t. It is “much good,” and it will take a while to count all this goodness. Take your time.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You’ve an even temper much of the time, but this shouldn’t be taken for a steadfast rule. When your passion is stirred, it will surprise and impress all.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). Status is important, but it’s never been your high priority. Right now there are a hundred things you care much more about than looking good to the neighbors. Because you’re not worried about status, your status rises.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Does the world seem to be in disarray? Sometimes it’s our way of mentally ordering information that makes it confusing. A teacher can help us find another point of view -- one that will bring context and clarity.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Cheerfulness is charming. As you continue to make optimism your default, you cultivate even greater powers of enchantment and become a charismatic influencer.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Wisdom comes out of adversity. Hardship is the greatest teacher. But you don’t have hardship now. The second greatest teachers are people you don’t agree with. Learn where they’re coming from and become wise.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). There will be conflicts, mostly one of your responsibilities clashing with another of more or less importance. Put it all on paper. That’s how you’ll sort it out.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). What are you doing on a daily basis to support your emotional and spiritual health? What are you doing every day to prove that you love yourself? “Excellence is not an act, but a habit.” -- Aristotle. CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). You’re making plans. Ideally, you’d include everyone, but this might not be possible. Don’t worry, the right people will show up, which is to say the people who most need to be a part of this.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You’ve been on a learning curve, but now you’re getting the swing of things and it’s all starting to flatten out a bit. Enjoy the successful feeling that comes with hitting your stride.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You’re in the mood to share, and you have much to give. Presentation will be key. It’s not the face value, but the spirit in which a thing is given that really counts.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (Dec. 5). You’re considered a tastemaker, and your recommendations will enhance and in some cases change lives. Highlights of this solar return will include: a dance of love that spans seasons, an event that involves several moving parts and brings together different groups, and something done in the spirit of justice. Capricorn and Virgo adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 4, 7, 14, 30 and 20. GEMINI AND THE HOLIDAYS: For Gemini, the holidays are an opportunity to bring people together, catch up on the latest happenings in everyone’s lives and to make new friends. Party hosts and hostess are always put at ease when Gemini comes strolling through the door ready to spread good cheer. This social creature enjoys the fellowship and fun to such a degree that it’s difficult for Gemini to believe that others feel anxiety over the very same part that Gemini deems the best part of the season. It might come as a surprise for Gemini that the very party that Gemini has been looking forward to for months might be a source of dread for another less socially oriented person. And holiday stresses can bring out strange sides of people who aren’t comfortable, for whatever reason, in familial and celebratory situations. Gemini can carry on, with infectious grace and strength, by making “live and let live” the holiday motto. CELEBRITY PROFILES: The colorful career and interests of Sagittarius entertainer Margaret Cho keep the world guessing. Currently on a world tour, this celebrated comedian, human rights activist, fashion designer, belly dancer enthusiast and tattooed beauty will continue to develop and define herself and her art in new ways. Sagittarians are known for their broad and vibrant interests. Write Holiday Mathis at Holidaymathis@gmail.com.
