Big names leave board on first day
Noteworthy developments on Day 1 of the CFL’S free-agency period:
Quarterback Mike Reilly, who

spent the past six seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos, signs with the B.C. Lions. Four-year deal is worth $2.9 million.
Calgary Stampeders re-sign
■
quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell, the league’s most outstanding player in 2018 and a reigning Grey Cup champion. Reported value: $2.8 million over four years.
Eskimos sign quarterback Trevor
■ Harris, who threw for 5,116 yards and 22 touchdowns with Ottawa last season, to two-year contract with reported value of $1.1 million.
Saskatchewan Roughriders sign
■
running back William Powell, who rushed for 1,362 yards in 16 games with Ottawa Redblacks last season, to two-year contract.
Roughriders sign defensive tackle Micah Johnson, a CFL all-star with Calgary in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
Winnipeg Blue Bombers sign defensive end Willie Jefferson, a 2018 CFL all-star who was named the Roughriders’ most outstanding player in 2018.
Eskimos sign linebacker Larry Dean, who as a member of the Hamilton Tiger-cats was named East Division’s most outstanding defensive player last season.
Eskimos also sign: Offensive tackle Sirvincent Rogers, a CFL all-star with Ottawa in 2015 (when he was named the league’s top offensive lineman) and 2018; receivers Greg Ellingson, who has had four consecutive 1,000-yard seasons with Ottawa, and Davaris Daniels (from Calgary); linebackers Don Unamba (from Hamilton) and Jovan Santos-knox (Winnipeg Blue Bombers); and, defensive back Anthony Orange (B.C.).
Roughriders re-sign quarterback Zach Collaros.
Lions sign guard Sukh Chungh, a West Division all-star guard with Winnipeg last season, and receiver Lemar Durant (Calgary).
Montreal re-signs defensive end John Bowman.
Ottawa re-signs quarterback Dominique Davis.
Montreal signs offensive lineman Spencer Wilson (Calgary).
Saskatchewan signs linebacker Dyshawn Davis, who had 22 special-teams tackles (fourth in the league) with B.C. last season.
