Regina Leader-Post

Regina should be glad to have Brandt

-

Thank you CNIB for clarification on your project with Brandt. Amazing how Brandt stepped up to be a part of your needed upgrade when no one else would. It does not surprise me as I have known Gavin and Shaun for nearly 30 years and have admired how they started with nothing and built the largest Deere Construction dealership in the world.

Brandt and other companies like them fund our government to the tune of billions in taxes, and Brandt alone provides jobs for over 1,500 folks across Canada. Our province and country need folks like these to provide an economy that supports health care, schools and one of the highest standards of living in the world.

As citizens and taxpayers, we should be boasting about their accomplishments and appreciate their community service whether it is donating $1 million to Luther College or bringing in high-end entertainers or funding local sports. These are good folks and offered CNIB help when no one else did.

Sadly, I note in Saskatchewan we tend to be jealous of success and this is a shining example. I have seen how Brandt can take any venture and make it a success. Look at the area east of the city that used to be run down and an eyesore. Now, thanks to Brandt, it is a welcoming example of the beauty of our city for folks driving in from the east.

For the folks demonstrating — surely there are better uses for your time!

I for one appreciate everything you do and know that the vast majority of people are appreciative of your success.

Brian Olson, Fort Qu’appelle
