Scott Wright, president of the Search and Rescue Volunteer Associatio­n of Canada, is the speaker at the Canadian Club of Regina luncheon on Oct. 18 at the Royal Hotel, 4025 Albert St. His topic is Volunteers are at the Heart of Search and Rescue. The Pearls, a club for single, separated, divorced or widowed women of any age to meet and socialize, will hold its next gathering on Tuesday. The Aurora Art Guild is hosting a fall show and sale of original artwork at the Terrace Rotunda, Innovation Place, No. 10 Research Drive (south of the U of R). Hours are: Oct 18, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Oct. 19, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Oct. 20, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Artists are demonstrat­ing painting techniques throughout the weekend. An artist reception will be held Oct. 20 from 1 to 4 p.m. Admission is free.

A fall supper will be held Oct. 18 at Our Lady of Peace Church, 425 Broad St. North. There are two sittings, at 5 and 6:30 p.m. Cost is $20 for adults, $10 for children 7 to 12 years, and free for those under 6. The building is fully accessible. Call 306 543-0421 or 306 543-5355 for tickets.

Westminste­r United Church, 3025 Cameron St., is having a rummage and bake sale in its lower hall on Oct. 18, 4 to 7 p.m., and Oct 19, 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Quality used items, books, baking, Christmas Room and more. Hotdogs on Friday, and coffee bar Saturday.

Heritage United Church, 1050 Arnason Street N., is holding its 30th annual fall supper on Oct. 19 with sittings at 5 and 6:30 p.m. Roast turkey and all the fixings as well as desserts and beverage are included. Tickets are available from Don at 306-543-0135 or the church office at 306-9498377.

Regina volunteers of Save the Children Canada are holding their 28th annual beef supper on Oct. 19 at St. James the Apostle Anglican Church, 1105 Empress St. at 5:30 p.m. The Serenaders will entertain. Cost is $25 per adult, $5 for children 6 to 12, and no charge for children under 6. Tickets are needed in advance by calling 306-545-4011 or 306-5456693.
