It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Dad, Tony, at the age of 90 years, of Emerald Park, SK on Sunday, November 10, 2019. He was predecease­d by his parents Jacob and Ida Kessel; his beloved wife of 40 years, Anna Mary; brothers, Ralph, Paul, Frank; sisters, Dorothy Sali and Maggie Kuntz; sisters-in-law, Martha Kessel and Marlene Kessel; brother-in-law Tony Sali; and brother-in-law and best friend Mathias "Matt" Schaaf whom he lived with for nearly thirty years. Tony is survived by his brothers Pete (Annie) Kessel and Albert (Doris) Kessel; sister-in-law Marie Kessel; his children, Elaine (Larry) Weist, Joann (Brian) Weslowski, Carol (Richard) Bisson, Raymond (Cecilia) Kessel, Lloyd Kessel (fiancé Wanda Campbell), Wesley (Annette) Kessel and Yvonne (Norman) Chase; twentyfour grandchild­ren; twenty-five great-grandchild­ren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Tony was born on September 19, 1929 in an old stone house just northwest of St. Joseph’s colony. He was the sixth of eight children. Tony went to Freiden school and completed grade 9 and enjoyed playing softball. He completed grade 11 in Regina. Tony and Anna Mary had seven children and farmed their entire life near the Mclean and Balgonie area. Tony’s health started to fail in 2019 and he moved to William Albert Care Home in May where he resided until his death. A Celebratio­n of Tony’s Life will be held at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, Balgonie, SK, on Friday, November 15, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. Tony’s family wishes to thank the staff at the William Albert House for their care and considerat­ion over the past few months.
