DRESCHER, Herman Alec

November 25, 1937 - November 8, 2019

Herman was predeceased by his father Alex and mother Matilda, brother Albert, sister Elaine, grandson Lance Linford and wife Sharon. Herman is survived by children Michelle (Ron) Schaerer, Charlene (Todd) Fritz, Kevin (Lisa), Bryan (Kim); 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren Kim (Jordan) Angle Wyatt and Hannah, Marc Schaerer, Thomas Linford, Tyson Linford (Kasey Stojke), Cori (Britaneigh) Fritz Stevie and River, Derek Drescher (Melissa), Brandon Drescher, Ethan Beingessner, Camden Drescher, and Shaye Drescher. Herman was born and raised on the family farm southwest of Semans. Herman married Sharon in 1963, where they moved to a farm a few miles from where he grew up to raise their children. Agriculture was his chosen profession, but he had a strong affinity for anything mechanical. His favourite time of year was harvest, especially when custom combining with sons Kevin and Bryan. After moving to town in 2011, Herman worked on renovating the house, and landscaping the yard. At seeding and harvest, Herman was a regular sight around the farming community, pitching in wherever he could help. Although a little slower this past harvest, he was still checking crops right up to 2 weeks before his passing. Special thanks to the Semans First Responders, Strasbourg Ambulance Service, Dr. BK Lim, and ALL the staff at the Pasqua Hospital for helping to make the final days as best as they could be. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Semans First Responders or the Cancer Society.
