Roughriders sign Bouka for two more years
The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced Wednesday that national defensive back Elie Bouka has signed a two-year contract extension.
The 27-year-old native of Laval, Que., who was scheduled to become a free agent in February, is now under contract through the 2021 season.
Bouka — a third-round pick in the 2016 CFL draft — appeared in all 18 games with Saskatchewan this past season, including one start. He recorded five defensive tackles and one interception, along with three special-teams tackles.

The Swift Current Legionnaires registered a 3-2 shootout victory over the Regina Pat Canadians in Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League action Tuesday. Riley Dekowny scored the lone shootout goal. Legionnaires goalie Jacob Herman stopped all three shots he faced in the shootout. Matt Millette and Blake Swetlikoff scored in regulation time for Regina.
Olivia Malowany scored 27 points for the Thom Trojans in their 4839 Regina Intercollegiate Basketball League junior girls victory over the Johnson Wildcats on Tuesday. Mckenna Torgenson led Johnson with 15 points. In a junior boys game, the O’neill Titans defeated the Riffel Royals 84-74. Alex Jones led O’neill with 18 points. Riffel’s Anton Yanko scored 33 points.
