CITY HALL: BILL PAYMENT OPTIONS

Effective Tuesday, Regina’s City Hall will be closed until further notice to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Here’s a list of alternativ­es to making bill payments in person.

Online or telephone banking: Can be used for water/utility accounts and property taxes. Contact your financial institutio­n to set up your water/utility account and property tax for online/telephone payments. You may also visit Regina.ca/utilitypay­ment to enrol in the Direct Debit Plan, which authorizes your financial institutio­n to pay for your utility bill or the Budget Billing Plan if you prefer equalized payments. Sign up for Utility e-bills to receive paperless notices via email.

24-hour drop box outside City Hall: Can be used for all payments including business licences. You can pay by cheque using the drop box, which is located outside the front door of City Hall.if you use this option, include your payment stub with your cheque.

Postal mail: Can be used for all payments including business licences. Attach your payment stub to your cheque and mail it to City Of Regina, PO Box 1790, Regina, SK, S4P 4J3. To avoid late penalties, ensure you mail your payment at least one week before it is due.

■ Parking tickets may also be paid with a credit card online at Regina. ca. In addition to the options above, animal licences may also be paid at veterinary clinics and through the Regina Humane Society.

■ Property owners can access their property assessment and tax informatio­n anywhere, anytime through e-property. Sign up for property tax e-bills, as well as monthly payments through the Tax Instalment Payment Plan Services (TIPPS).

■ Mayor Michael Fougere announced the closure of City Hall to the public, as well as several city-run facilities during a news conference Monday morning. The closures include all ice arenas, several leisure and community centres, all Regina Public Library branches and the Regina Floral Conservato­ry.
