May 17, 2020: Capt. Jennifer Casey of Halifax, the team’s public affairs officer, was killed and Capt. Rich Macdougall was seriously injured when their plane crashed in Kamloops, B.C.

Oct. 13, 2019: A Snowbirds pilot was uninjured after being forced to eject just before an aerobatics show in Atlanta, Ga.

Oct. 9, 2008: Capt. Bryan Mitchell, 46, and military photograph­er Sgt. Charles Senecal, 49, were killed during a photo flight at

Moose Jaw.

May 18, 2007: Capt. Shawn Mccaughey, 31, of Candiac, Que., was killed when his jet crashed during practice manoeuvres near Great Falls, Mont.

Aug. 24, 2005: Capt. Andy Mackay of Orleans, Ont., bailed out when his jet experience­d engine problems just before the start of an air show in Thunder Bay, Ont.

Dec. 10, 2004: Capt. Miles Selby died in a collision with Capt. Chuck Mallet during a training session near Moose Jaw. Mallet survived.

June 21, 2001: Two planes collided while preparing for an air show near Port Burwell, Ont. No injuries.

Dec. 10, 1998: Capt. Michael Vandenbos, 29, died after ejecting when his jet collided with another aircraft.

March 21, 1994: Two pilots ejected near Moose Jaw, sustaining minor injuries.

1992: Two pilots ejected safely after a collision near Bagotville, Que.

Aug. 14, 1992: Plane crashed near CFB Moose Jaw due to failed engine bearing. No injuries.

Feb. 26, 1991: Jet crashed near CFB Moose Jaw during routine training flight. Both pilots escaped serious injury.

Sept. 3, 1989: Capt. Shane Antaya, 24, was killed when his plane crashed into Lake Ontario during an air show in Toronto.

May 3, 1978: Capt. Gordon de Jong, 32, was killed during an air show in Grande Prairie, Alta.

1972: Capt. Lloyd Waterer, 24, was killed during an air show in Trenton, Ont.
