It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Stanley James Searcy. Stan passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at the age of 67 years. Stan was predecease­d by his mother Doreen Searcy, his father Stan Pochinco and brother Jim Pochinco. He leaves to mourn his wife of 47 years Wendy and their sons Jared and Jesse (Jessica); his parents John Searcy and Virginia Pochinco; siblings Derek Searcy (Bich) of

Vietnam, Desiree Pochinco (Don) of Winnipeg, John Searcy Jr, Jim Searcy of Calgary, sister Deena (Aaron) Dillabough of Acadia Valley and brother-in-law Craig (Nancy) Boan of Winnipeg. As well as numerous nieces and nephews. Stan was born in Lockport, MB and grew up in Winnipeg. Stan worked as a driver for a variety of companies. As a driver Stan was able to do what he loved most which was talking to people and learning from them. Through this career Stan was able to spread joy, kindness and humour with everyone that he drove. Stan also took an interest in many hobbies, especially enjoying tinkering with computers and growing herbs, fruits and vegetables. He loved movies and a snuggle with his little shadow, Sophie. Despite health challenges, he was happy to make it to Calgary this summer to help celebrate his father’s 80th birthday where he visited with a number of relatives and friends. Last month, he was able to celebrate with Jesse and Jessica at their wedding. In accordance with Stan’s wishes there will be a small, private service in the coming days.
