It is with profound grief that the family of Audrey Steffan of White City, SK announce her passing on September 13, 2022 at the age of 62 years after a year long battle with cancer. Audrey was born in Esterhazy, SK, the second of five children of Kenneth and Doreen Campbell. At a young age, the family moved to Moose Jaw and then to Saskatoon to settle and it is there that Audrey spent most of her childhood years. After graduating from Mount Royal high school, Audrey attended the University of Saskatchewan for a short time before pursuing a job opportunity with the provincial government in Regina. It was there that she found her true calling in the computer and information technology areas. She rose up the ranks and was assigned to various positions in the Information Technology Office, Central Services and most recently, Sask Builds and Procurement as Director of IT Project Management. Audrey had a rare longevity in her career, spanning over 40 years! Audrey met the love of her life, Rod, while they both worked at Sask Finance. However, it wasn’t until a few years later that fate played its hand and brought them together permanently. They were married for 18 years, but side by side for nearly 24 years. Audrey was incredibly brave throughout her journey with cancer, trying every suggested option without hesitation. This was a testament to how much she wanted to live and loved life.
