BIGGER AND BETTER

The Vancouver Art Gallery is about to get a new home. Swiss, Pritzker Architecture Prize-winning firm Herzog & de Meuron recently released plans for a brand new building to house the gallery’s ever-expanding collections and exhibitions. The arresting, symmetrical structure will be made from sustainable wooden materials as a nod to the region’s architectural history. The new Vancouver Art Gallery is set to open in late 2021.
