The Power Plant

-

The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery celebrated its 30th anniversary on February 23rd at TIFF Bell Lightbox in Toronto with its annual Face to Face fundraiser. The event brings together artists and esteemed guests for an intimate dinner and cultural discussion. With 2017 also being Canada’s 150th year, Face to Face celebrated artists that have shaped the fabric of the Canadian contemporary art landscape. The artists in attendance, including Nadia Belerique, Valérie Blass, Julia Dault, Stan Douglas, and more, spoke about the evolution of their careers through their experience with The Power Plant and their opinions on contemporary art in Canada. As well, a panel discussion was moderated by Frieze Magazine co-editor Dan Fox. The Power Plant gallery is open all year long, and is free to the public. The Winter 2017 Exhibition is on until May 14.
