SUPPORT FOR PLANT

I want to show my support for the Fortune Minerals processing plant.

It seems to me that there is support, but it is not getting out. My wife and I have bumped into a few people who expressed support after we openly admitted we favoured the plant. I think we feel like we don’t belong in the community if we are in support.

This is a small community and that can be a little intimidating, especially when all you see are signs against it. The only thing I’ve heard remotely objective about the project was on John Gormley’s radio show.

I care about my drinking water as much as the next guy, and I think in this day and age that the government and Fortune Minerals have put enough safeguards in place to protect the water source. I am satisfied and welcome the jobs to the area and the potential growth and spinoffs. C.J. Somerville Langham
