Croatia routs Cameroon 4-0

-

Croatia kept its hopes of a berth in the Round of 16 alive by routing 10-man Cameroon in a 4-0 victory.

Ivica Olic scored just 11 minutes in to put Niko Kovac’s men in front, but the match really turned in Croatia’s favour five minutes before halftime when Alex Song was issued a straight red card.

The extra man helped Croatia dominate the second half as a goal from Ivan Perisic and a brace from Mario Mandzukic wrapped up the comfortable win.

Croatia was without Mandzukic for its opening defeat to Brazil last week

The result sees Croatia improve to three points in Group A, setting up a tantalizing meeting with Mexico at the Arena Pernambuco on Monday.
