Landeryou into quarter-finals

Trailing 7-1 in his second game, Saskatoon’s Tim Landeryou rallied to defeat Noslen Jimenez of Cuba 1511, 15-10 in the men’s singles round of 16 at the International Racquetball Federation World Championships in Burlington, Ont., on Wednesday. Landeryou will face Bolivia’s Carlos Keller in the quarter-finals.

Regina’s Christine Richardson is moving on to the women’s singles quarter-finals after a 14-15, 15-11, 11-10 win over Maria Paz Monez of Ecuador.

The championship continues until Saturday with both singles and doubles events.
