Martensville area to be self sufficient
Ehrenburg Homes has been known for building castles both big and small in and around Saskatoon for more than 30 years. Their latest showhome is located at 186 Beaudry Cres. in a brandnew development in Martensville, about 10 minutes north of Saskatoon.
Lake Vista is a brand-new development spearheaded by North Ridge Developments on the east side of Martensville. The Lake Vista community is designed to feature trails for recreation, green spaces and a small lake. In the future it will also be the site of a new elementary school.
“It’s a fabulous area,” says Ehrenberg general manager Daryl Quesnel. “We’ve got beautiful walking paths throughout this whole area.”
In addition, the Lake Vista area will also be home to retail development, including an upcoming restaurant. Quesnel added, “It’ll be a self-sufficient little area.”
Martensville continues to grow with new retail springing up on the city’s west side with additions such as a Tim Horton’s and Canadian Tire.
“Martensville certainly has many of the same amenities as Stonebridge (in Saskatoon),” Quesnel notes. “And it’s way more affordable.”
Plus being drive north, amenities are easy access.
If you’re looking to make the move to Martensville, Ehrenburg has many lots in Lake Vista to choose from and the showhome on Beaudry just a short Saskatoon’s still within is just one example. According to Quesnel, “It’s got a great combination of lot options to choose from. We have lots available for the entry-level market, the move-up market, or the custom home.”
There are even lots available with a walkout option. As well, Ehrenberg has a new multi-family town-home project planned to start later this summer.
The showhome at 186 Beaudry Crescent features the Nickelberg layout with an open concept main level and three bedrooms on the second storey. The main level has solid maple floors with tile bathrooms and entrances, and an attached two-car garage. The gleaming white granite countertops and caramel-coloured hardwood floors offer a contemporary look, all with 1,482 square feet of space.
“This is for the starter market. It’s very functional. It’s very usable space,” says Quesnel.
The Nickelberg model is sure to capture interest at $369,900, and it has all the expected finishing touches. It will likely make the Nickelberg model a popular pick for first-time home buyers. With a high efficient Lenox heating system and HRV central air conditioning, Kohler plumbing fixtures, and triple glazed windows, buyers will have few worries in the years to come.
