Man pleads guilty to marijuana charges

Sentencing submissions for a man who conspired with two members of the Fallen Saints Motorcycle Club to sell marijuana were adjourned until October after William Dean Sokolofsky entered guilty pleas Wednesday at Saskatoon Court of Queen’s Bench.

Sokolofsky, 46, was charged in connection with Project Forseti, a 15-month long drug investigation that ended in massive raids across Saskatchewan in January, 2015.

He pleaded guilty to conspiring with Ryan William Hillman and Christopher Keith Lester to traffic marijuana in the summer of 2014. Hillman, who called himself the boss of the operation, was sentenced in March to three and a half years, while Lester is scheduled to be sentenced in October.

Sentencing arguments for Benjamin Miller Stewart-Rogers, Hillman’s alleged courier, are expected to take place in December; he pleaded guilty in May to possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

Sokolofsky also entered guilty pleas to charges of possession of marijuana exceeding three kilograms for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000.

Two other men, John Louis Joseph Fekete and Mark Edward Weber, recently pleaded guilty to marijuana-related charges in connection with Project Forseti. Both men are scheduled to return to court for sentencing arguments in October.
