Dalmeny teen killed in crash mourned

-

Cassidy Gosling, the 17-yearold girl who died in a highway collision southwest of Dalmeny, is remembered as an “amazing individual” whose life ended too soon.

Gosling, 17, “had the ability to brighten any room she walked into with her welcoming smile and arms,” the administrators of a GoFundMe page wrote on Wednesday, just one day after Gosling died in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 16 and Highway 684, between Saskatoon and her hometown of Dalmeny.

“She was caring, loving and had a laugh that was truly unforgettable. Cassidy had an amazing life ahead of her,” read the GoFundMe page.

Warman RCMP and Saskatoon paramedics responded Tuesday around 6:30 p.m. to the crash site, where Gosling was pronounced dead, police said.

Three 17-year-old boys and a 16-year-old boy from the same vehicle were taken by ambulance to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon in stable condition. A 70-yearold man driving the second vehicle was taken to St. Paul’s Hospital in stable condition.

The investigation into the crash is continuing, RCMP said.

Nick Pryma, one of the people behind the GoFundMe page, urged people to share good thoughts for the family, saying “no one should experience the loss of a child.”

All proceeds from the GoFundMe page will be used to cover funeral costs and family travel expenses, the administrators said, calling Gosling’s death a “horrific tragedy.”

“The life of this amazing individual ended too soon. She was a beloved daughter, sister and a friend.”
