Get ready for legends of Zelda
Biopic battle! Scarlett Johansson will star in a new movie about Zelda Fitzgerald. So will Jennifer Lawrence. This could be a great box-office showdown.
Zelda’s certainly interesting: Alabama-born socialite, writer, beauty, schizophrenic, wife of F. Scott Fitzgerald, she knew everyone and died tragically.
Still, two pictures at once? (Let us not mention the upcoming series with Christina Ricci.)
The Hollywood Reporter says JLaw’s picture, entitled Zelda, will be directed by Ron Howard. The screenplay is based on a 1970 biography by Nancy Mitford.
ScarJo’s version, which has no director yet, is named The Beautiful and the Damned after F. Scott’s somewhat-autobiographical 1922 novel. It’s a divorce, TMZ.com reports, for Kate Beckinsale and writer/ producer Len Wiseman after 12 married years. They have no children.
They separated last November; since then, he has been seen with model C.J. Franco.
This week, Wiseman filed divorce papers, citing “irreconcilable differences.” She has more money, he’s not asking for any.
Wiseman and Beckinsale are both 43. Remember Taylor Kinney? Engaged to Lady Gaga for 18 months, then last July suddenly not engaged to her any more?
Just the other day she was saying she still kind of loves him, yada yada. But the New York Post says he’s not moping, and has moved on briskly. He’s now keeping warm with one Alanna DiGiovanni of Philadelphia, formerly a club waitress and now something at a hospital.
DiGiovanni is 26. Kinney is 35. Precocious young people dep’t: British-born Millie Bobby Brown of Stranger Things shares in Interview mag details about her place of residence:
“I live on an airplane. I don’t really live anywhere at the moment. I lived in L.A. for a while and I kind of live in L.A. now. I live in England to do stuff. I lived in Atlanta … I could possibly be moving back there, so I kind of live everywhere. But my favourite place to live is L.A.”
She’s just 12. Pop singer Ciara and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, who made a big deal about waiting until they were married to, umm, do it, are expecting a baby.
She broke the news, rather obliquely, via Instagram.
This will be Wilson’s first child. Ciara has a son from her time with the rapper Future.
She’s 31. Russ is 27.
