Three-car garage, warm welcome in Martens Estates

D&S Homes started building Martens Estates in Martensville in 1998. There are now just 14 lots left in the development and their latest show home at 959 Stony Crescent is one of them.

Probably one of the most coveted features will be noticed before visitors even enter the home.

“The big feature — especially for Martensville — is the three-car garage,” says D &S Homes’ Troy Slater. “There’s a little bit more space for people to put their toys. Lots of people have snowmobiles and quads and ATVs so it seems like we have an easier time selling a house out there (in Martensville) if it has a triple car garage.”

Vinyl siding with brick accents create a home with lots of street appeal. The three-car garage also has windows that face the street to allow in sunshine and keep the garage bright as well.

The 1,290 square foot bi-level has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and is listed at $429,900. The main floor features an openconcept living room, dining room, and kitchen with island. The dining room also has a door to a future deck. Lots of windows and vaulted ceilings make the space bright and inviting.

The main floor has variegated laminate flooring, which could be upgraded to a hardwood or other flooring. However, the choice of laminate for the show home makes sense for high traffic areas. The show home at 959 Stony Crescent is open Monday through Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
