CCMAs announce more stars, interactiv­e events

Chad Brownlee, High Valley, Madeline Merlo and Brett Young will perform at the 2017 CCMA Awards Show, it was announced Tuesday. The show is Sunday, Sept. 10, at SaskTel Centre, broadcast on CBC at 8 p.m.

Already announced to perform are Gord Bamford joined by Jim Cuddy, Dean Brody, Tim Hicks, James Barker Band, Brett Kissel, Meghan Patrick, Jess Moskaluke, Dallas Smith, The Washboard Union and internatio­nal guest Blake Shelton.

Eight awards will be handed out at the show, including the Apple Music Fans’ Choice Award.

Nominated are Bamford, Brody, Brownlee, High Valley and Smith.

Fans can vote in three ways: Visit fanvote.ccma.org and click on your favourite act; visit applemusic.com/ CCMAawards and listen to your favourite act; take to social media and hashtag your choice for the Apple Music Fans’ Choice Award.

SiriusXM FanFest: Live performanc­es by CCMA nominees and a chance for fans to meet, greet and have their photo taken with their favourite acts. It’s Saturday, Sept. 9, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Prairielan­d Park. Scheduled to perform are Bamford, Brownlee, Cold Creek County, Hicks, Kissel, JoJo Mason, Merlo, Moskaluke, Patrick, Aaron Pritchett, The Road Hammers, Smith, The Washboard Union and Bobby Wills.

TD Countdown Concert: A free concert before the John Deere Green Carpet and awards show. Appearing are Cold Creek County, Aaron Goodvin, Dan Davidson, Pritchett and JJ Shiplett. It’s Sunday, Sept. 10 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at SaskTel Centre.
