Lexis Homes is once again redefining modern luxury with its new Evoke floor plan in Rosewood. As part of the Saskatoon and Region Home Builders’ Association’s Parade of Homes, the Lexis show home at 539 Pritchard Crescent puts a modern spin on the neighbourhood’s classic craftsman style.

Visitors are greeted by a study just off the front entrance — a place that would work as an office, hobby room, or a designated space for the kids to complete homework.

Also, off the front entrance to the right is the mud room, which allows direct access from the garage to the huge butler’s pantry off the kitchen, making the chore of bringing in the groceries a little less cumbersome.

The kitchen, living room and dining room are open and spacious. The kitchen is kitted out with a white quartz countertops, and custom white cabinetry which evokes the craftsman-style of the neighbourhood. The kitchen also has a built-in wine fridge and wine rack.

At the top of the stairs is a cosy bonus room. The room can be walled off for an extra bedroom if need be, but as a media room, it would be very popular for family movie or gaming night.

Add in three bedrooms upstairs and you’ve got a very livable and spacious floor plan that will appeal to many growing families looking for some extra space. In fact, the Evoke floor plan has 2,151 square feet, but smaller versions have been built by Lexis to suit clients’ needs.

The master suite offers a beautiful collection of all the luxurious amenities buyers are looking for in one ensuite — from the soaker tub

to the oversized tiled shower to the his and hers vanities. The ensuite also includes a large walk-in closet which boasts direct access to the laundry room.

Even the laundry room offers the convenience of upstairs laundry with a sink, storage cupboards, and folding counter. The layout of the laundry room came about, in part, in a collaboration on social media.

“We posted the original floor plan on Facebook,” explains Cam

Skoropat, president and CEO of Lexis. “We asked if people would rather have a door to the laundry room or a sink in the laundry, because you couldn’t have both.”

One person suggested putting the door in the walk-in closet. That way the laundry room could still have a sink.

All Lexis homes are built to higher energy standards. This particular house was EnerGuide rated. By using an air-tight construction,

higher energy-rated insulation in the attic, basement and walls, the house uses about 22 per cent less energy than a standard built home.

The Evoke at 539 Pritchard Crescent in Rosewood is open for viewing with the rest of the Parade of Homes Monday through Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m., closed Friday, and open Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 2 to 5 p.m. The Parade of Homes continues until Sept. 17.
