5 WAYS TO FILL YOUR WEEKEND

There is no shortage of things to do around the city this weekend. The Canadian Country Music Associatio­n Awards are front and centre, but there are still other events:

1 Does an evening of ribald fun tickle your fancy?

Menagerie Burlesque Ruins Your Childhood: A Burlesque Show might get your blood flowing. It runs tonight and Saturday at Remai Arts Centre. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m.

2 Saturday is the annual Broadway Street Festival.

This is the largest oneday event to hit the Broadway area annually. There will be street performers, vendors, artists and an array of talent to keep Broadway hopping all day.

3 The Saskatoon Wildlife Federation is having a grand opening of its new outdoor range complex in the RM of Aberdeen.

The event, touted as a world-class facility, gets underway at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

4 The German Cultural Centre is home to the Huge Outdoor Market and Garage Sale on Saturday.

It runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the centre, located on Cartwright Road off Lorne Avenue South.

5 A handful of fundraisin­g walks are taking place beginning today and through this weekend.

Today, the Metis Addictions Council of Saskatchew­an’s FASD Walk for Awareness starts and ends at MACSI Saskatoon Centre; on Saturday, the Saskatchew­an Brain Injury Associatio­n has its Brain Boogie at Victoria Park. The annual AIDS Walk is Sunday starting at the Roxy Theatre at noon; finally, the Ovarian Cancer Society’s annual Walk of Hope is Sunday at Windy Acres off the Pike Lake highway, starting at 10 a.m.
