1 Fun fitness classes for everyone Broadway Fit Fest is the perfect chance to attend an outdoor class offered by your favourite studio or to try a new one. It’s also an awesome way to spend a day with friends or family while the weather is still warm. There’s something for everyone as classes from Ryde YXE Cycle Studio, One Yoga, The Movement YXE, JP Performance Training, Bridge City Fitness, Moksha Yoga, Rise Strength Lab, Crossfit Brio, Summit Sports + Health, plus seminars from Popeye’s Supplements, Craven Sport Services and Saje Natural Wellness will all be on offer.

2 Teens are welcome and there’s a family yoga class

One Yoga is hosting a family yoga class from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. The One Yoga teachers host regular family yoga classes at the studio and are well-versed in the teaching style needed to engage children. One Yoga runs a non-profit organization called Yoga for Youth, which is dedicated to bringing yoga to all ages, regardless of physical or mental abilities, in a way that’s easily understood and experienced. Due to the equipment used in the other Fit Fest classes, it’s not an ideal environment for younger children. But if you’ve got parental consent, those aged 15 to 18 are welcome to come out.

3 Support KidSport Saskatoon For the 2017 Fit Fest, 100 per cent of each $20 donation goes to KidSport Saskatoon (last year the event raised money for Camp Easter Seal). The Saskatoon branch of the national non-profit provides registration fees and equipment to kids aged 18 and under whose families are facing financial obstacles.
