Mike Dirham
Vice President, Agrium Potash and Phosphate, has been elected Chairman of the Board of the Saskatchewan Potash Producers Association Inc.
Mr. Dirham was appointed Vice President, Agrium Potash and Phosphate in September 2015. He was previously General Manager of Agrium’s Vanscoy Potash Operations. Mr. Dirham has worked in a variety of capacities at the Company’s potash operations, including Mill Manager (2007 – 2009), General Manager (2009 – 2015) rising to the position of Vice President (2015 to current).
He began his career with Nu-West Industries Conda Phosphate Operation in 1991, where he worked up through the ranks for over 17 years. Nu-West was purchased by Agrium in 1995. Mr. Dirham accepted the role of Mill Manager at Vanscoy in 2007. He has been involved in driving and supporting safe operations excellence for over 27 years by engaging in safety committees, various task forces and continuous improvement projects. Mike was heavily involved in the recent Vanscoy Potash Operations expansion from inception to completion and is very gratified that this expansion was completed successfully. Mr. Dirham has a degree in Business Management from Western Governors University. He is involved in supporting the Saskatchewan Mining Association (SMA) and is a Board of Director on the International Minerals Innovation Institute (IMII), where he also serves on the Finance and Audit Committee. The Saskatchewan Potash Producers Association Inc. is headquartered in Regina and is an association of the three potash mining companies based in Saskatchewan. Members include Agrium Inc., Mosaic, and Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Inc.
