HAUNTS AND JAUNTS

Scare up a costume and head out for Halloween fun

-

Halloween has became quite the holiday. And rightly so — it’s in the shoulder season between the end of summer festivities and before the Christmas holidays kick into high gear. No longer simply a night for kids to throw on a costume and head out for tricks and treats, Oct. 31 has evolved into a week of celebrations. These listings span a range of Halloween events in Saskatoon. There’s everything from a Monster Mash dance party for the kids, to haunted houses and mazes for all ages, and live concerts for the parents. Perhaps the best bang for your buck, writes Jocelyn Bennett, is to pile the family in the car and set out on a spooky tour of the city. The Saskatchewan chapter of the Canadian Haunters’ Association has an online map listing all the haunted houses and yard haunts in the province at saskatchewanhauntfinder.ca.
