Pro-boxing — Thunder on the Prairies tonight at SaskTel Centre

Page Professional Sports in association with SaskTel Centre will host Thunder on the Prairies tonight!

Thunder on the Prairies is professional boxing sanctioned by the Canadian Professional Boxing Council (CPBC) and the Athletic Commission of Saskatchewan and will feature in the Main Event CPBC Cruiserweight Champion Gary “Hocus Pocus” Kopas vs. Saiduo Sall in a 10-round International Championship fight.

Additional bouts for THUNDER ON THE PRAIRIES include: Rawleigh Clements-Willis vs. Markhaile Wedderburn, Ian Abbott vs. Cesar Cardenas, , Wayne Smith vs. Jorge Castro, and Andrew Walker vs. Vyron Phillips. (Matches and fighters subject to change.)

This will be the first Professional Boxing event held at SaskTel Centre since the 1988 Canadian Heavyweight Boxing Championship between Ken Lakusta and Donovan “Razor” Ruddock.

“We’re excited to host the second ever professional boxing event in SaskTel Centre,” said Dennis Page, Event Promoter with Page Professional Sports in a release. “This is a great venue to showcase our sport and we know the fans who attend this event will be thrilled with this exciting card of fighters.”

Door open at 6 p.m. with the fights beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets for THUNDER ON THE PRAIRIES: Kopas vs. Sall are available at all Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster.ca, or charge by phone at 306-9387800 or 1-800-970-7328. Reserved seating tickets are $31.50 and $52.50 plus Service Charges. There are also a limited number of VIP Ringside Tables available.
