5 WAYS TO FILL YOUR WEEKEND

It’s April and spring is supposed to be in full bloom. Yeah, right. Here are a few things to keep us busy this weekend:

-

1 Semko sings

Saskatoon’s own Jay Semko is set to perform Saturday night at The Bassment. The singer-songwriter always provides a great night out as he goes through his extensive catalogue. The show starts at 8 p.m.

2 Rush host the Mammoth

The Saskatchewan Rush are home Saturday night to the Colorado Mammoth. There’s just a handful of games remaining in the season and the Rush want to build some momentum heading into playoffs. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at SaskTel Centre.

3 Here’s the beef

Prairieland Park will be awash in bovines this weekend at the Saskatchewan Beef Expo. If you want to know anything about cows, steers and everything in between, this will be for you. Admission is free.

4 Three decades of GlassArt

It’s the 30th anniversary of GlassArt, the annual show of the Saskatoon Glassworkers Guild. All sorts of glass art will be on display for the event at The Galleria at Innovation Place. The show runs today through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

5 Psychic linkages

Are you a believer in mediums? On Saturday night at the Sandman Inn, starting at 7 p.m., local psychic medium Connie Prytula joins American medium Sandra Monroe. The duo hope to link those who have passed along with those still remaining on our planet.
