Stoney Creek Generals captures Allan Cup

In a battle of Generals, Ontario’s Stoney Creek Generals are the 110th Allan Cup champions after a 7-4 victory over the Lacombe Generals on Saturday in Rosetown. Stoney Creek led 3-1 after one period and put the game away with a four goal third to seal their first Allan Cup championship. Both Saskatchewan teams in the tournament lost out in the quarter-finals with the Bethune Bulldogs losing 3-2 to the eventual champions and the host Rosetown Redwings losing 6-4 to the Atlantic’s Elsipogtog Hawks.
