UPCOMING SERVICE FOR FRANCES WARTMAN

On Saturday June 16th, after a gravside service at Woodlawn Cemetery, at 2:30 we will be holding a Memorial service at Mcclure United Church 4025 Taylor St. E., for my mother, Frances Wartman (nee Robertson). Mom was born and raised in Saskatoon, daughter of Peter and Helen (Nell) Robertson. Her siblings are Helen Keating (deceased), Cryle (Rob) Robertson, Herb Robertson and Patricia (Pat) Schmidt. Frances married Rev. G. Bruce Wartman June 16, 1948, 70 years ago. They had four children: David (Katherine van Kooy) Mark (Gail Macdonald), Janet (Paul Fung), and Gordon (Elaine Comeau). Fran is survived by eight grandchildren and their partners, g and five great granddaughters. Fran died December 22, 2017 in Spruce Grove Alberta in the loving arms of her beloved daughter Janet Fung. During their lives together, Fran and Bruce lived in Kelvington, Assiniboia, Kindersley, North Battleford, Regina, Armstrong BC, Saskatoon and Edmonton. Their home was always open and welcoming and the family was extended by many over the years including: Llowyn Osachuk and later with her children Maureen and Ted Osachuk, in Assiniboia Yuki Shimimori, (Bert Bradley) became like a daughter and her children Brenda and Andrew were loved as grandchildren. Lanny Magnusson who was a friend from Kindersley was with us for a couple of years as he finished high school. Fran's love and care encompassed so many over the years and we look forward to celebrating the precious gift of her life with family and friends. We are grateful to friend and Minister Rev. Tom Powell for his support and for the leadership he is providing for the graveside and Memorial services. We are so grateful for her life and the love that surrounds us.
