Boycott U.S. goods, tourism sites
It is time for Canadians to boycott products/services from the United States, and stop supporting their tourism industry.
Donald Trump and his administration are abusive bullies; logic and reasoning are a waste of our time. As we have recently noted, they will admire dictators and tyrants, and verbally abuse and threaten allies. This administration only recognizes strength and threats.
If Canadians boycott American products and vacation sites, this action will put pressure on elected U.S. government representatives because of monetary/job loss. They will pressure Trump and his administration to rein in tariffs and discriminatory practices against Canada.
This is one way in which every Canadian has an opportunity to affect what is now happening to us and our country. This could be our best hope to create change.
Some products will be easy to boycott, such as U.S. wine. Other choices are not as easy; many Canadians own U.S. vacation property. Canadians can strive to vacation in Canada, South America, Europe and Asia. There are many possible choices.
Some goals to work toward: in the first instance, buy locally; second, frequent Canadian-owned stores, rather than U.S. owned; third, decrease online purchases, particularly to U.S. companies. When you must purchase online, try to access Canadian-produced products. Last, but very impor- tant, contact your Saskatchewan MLA and your ward representative in Saskatoon, and ask these governmental levels to initiate boycotts of U.S. products.
Oh Canada, we stand on guard for thee!
