Annual holiday fundraiser entering the stretch run

We’re already approaching the stretch run here at Sporting Christmas.

Days are melting away quickly as the Salvation Army works to fill hampers and meet the needs of families who need a boost during the Christmas season.

We give them every penny sent our way. We hold nothing back and take no administrative fees. If you give us $10, every bit of that $10 will be put to work by the Sally Ann.

So pass the hat, raise some funds while carolling, take up a collection around the office. Dig out that loose change in your couch, see what’s in your pockets, hold a party and see what can be done with a group effort.

It’s a great way to remember a loved one, to honour somebody who’s still with us, or simply to feel like you’re making a real, tangible difference in the community.

We’re looking for hockey fans, baseball players, referees and umpires, and people who don’t even like sports. We need businesses, groups, families, couples, individuals.

If you have a dollar to spare, send it our way, and we promise it will be used fruitfully.

Myrtle Mcnulty and family remember Elroy Mcnulty as “a great husband and dad” as well as “a great sports fan!” We’re glad to hear from them today — along with Doc and Diana Holaday, Beep and Marilyn, the Saskatoon Flyer Ice Dogs, and everybody else whose gift is listed below.
