Do you like the roar of monster trucks? The Ram Motorsport­s Spectacula­r returns to the city Friday night at Sasktel Centre. Among the evening’s heart-pounding entertainm­ent are six of the world’s biggest and baddest monster trucks. Get your motor runnin’.

Award-winning jazz musician Matt Dusk takes the stage Friday night at the Broadway Theatre. Dusk has sold more than a million albums worldwide and is on the road promoting his latest release, Jetset Jazz. The concert gets underway at 8 p.m.

If you’re looking for something else on the stage, why not consider Greystone Theatre’s The Cripple of Inishmaan? The dark comedy, written by Martin Mcdonagh and directed by U of S drama professor Dwayne Brenna, concludes its run on Saturday. If you haven’t been out in a while, this is worth the effort.

Staying on the U of S campus, there are multiple sporting events for some Huskies teams this weekend, including playoff action for the women’s hockey team and the men’s and women’s basketball teams, while the volleyball teams play regular season action against the Mount Royal Cougars. In case you are wondering, the men’s hockey team is not in action until next weekend.

Fans of country music may want to catch Neal Mccoy at the Dakota Dunes Casino on Sunday night. With 15 albums and 34 singles to his credit, Mccoy’s vast catalogue will tempt most country fans. Make sure you’ve got your boots on.
