GREEN WITH Envy ABOUT THIS WEEKEND

Spring has lured us out of our homes this week. The Star Phoenix lists some fun activities to help us appreciate the change of seasons.

Laughs await

Let’s start the weekend with a chuckle. The nutbars who are the Saskatoon Soaps are at the Broadway Theatre on Friday night. The crew of laugh-meisters presents The Idle Days of March starting at 9:30 p.m. Warning: be prepared to laugh out loud.

Blades play Raiders

If sports is your bag, the Saskatoon Blades are home Friday night to the league-leading Prince Albert Raiders. The playoffs are just around the corner, so both teams will be ready to do battle. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at Sasktel Centre.

Boeing, Boeing held over

This the last few nights of Boeing Boeing, the latest funny Persephone Theatre production. It’s being held over and Saturday night is your last chance to see this “uplifting” play. What happens when a man tries to juggle three separate love interests? Hilarity ensues.

Rush at Sasktel Centre

Don’t forget the Saskatchewan Rush are back on home turf Saturday night when the Buffalo Bandits come calling. The Rush are throwing a St. Patrick’s Day party, so you know it’s going to be a blast. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at Sasktel Centre.

Wear something green

With fine weather ahead and Sunday being St. Patrick’s Day, throw on your favourite green shirt and head outside and go for a long walk along the riverbank. The pathways have been cleared so there is no concern for poor footing. And may the luck of the Irish be with you.
