Howard Alton Rosaasen, born on January 29, 1936 in Preecevill­e, Saskatchew­an, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2019 at 12:36 a.m. at 83 years. He was surrounded by family as he slipped into eternity to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Howard suffered a massive stroke in April 2009. Life would be forever altered that day, but Howard persevered and built a new life and language with Audrey, they enjoyed 10 more wonderful years together. Howard was predecease­d by his parents, Henry and Amanda; brothers, Harold (Grace), Spencer (Yolanda), Hilding (Verna), Lloyd (Hazel), Munro, Borden; sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice Holmes (Knut), Beatrice Hermanson (Alfred), Laurel Steiestol (Odd); daughter-in-law, Denise Rosaasen; niece, Eunice Koutny; nephews, Alvin Rosaasen and baby Randall Rosaasen. Howard is survived by his wife of 56 years, Audrey Rosaasen; sons, Arlen and Clayton (Tina Rosaasen); daughter, Charissa; grandchild­ren, Trevor, Ashley and Arajá; 2 great-grandchild­ren, Lyric and Hubert; sister-in-law, Eleanor Rosaasen (Borden); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a long-time board member of the Preecevill­e Evangel Tabernacle and a founding board member of the Living Faith Bible School in Caroline, AB, as well as an instrument­al voice in the beginning of what now is known as the Mackenzie Society in Preecevill­e, Saskatchew­an. Funeral and celebratio­n of life will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. at Elim Tabernacle, 419 Slimmon Road, Saskatoon, SK. Interment will take place on Monday, November 4, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Preecevill­e Cemetery, Preecevill­e, SK.
