It is with sadness that the family announces the accidental death of Bob occurred at his residence in Saskatoon on Wednesday October 30, 2019. He is lovingly remember by his children and their families: Chris (Jan); Gerald (Grace); Mary (Jim) Seiferling; Jim (Carol); Ken; Fred (Barb); and Elizabeth as well as 21 grandchild­ren, 40 greatgrand­children, and 5 great-greatgrand­children. He was predecease­d by his wife Anna and second wife Shirley, as well as his parents Frederick and Rebecca Farthing, sister Rhoda, brother Maurice, brothers-in-law, John Ball, Clayton Richardson, Clary Mitchell, Jim Martin, Roland Graff and sistersin-law, Agatha, Evangeline and Rita Graff. Bob was born near Fort Qu’appelle on April 19, 1923. He served in the RCAF, was a Journeyman Mechanic and taught auto mechanics at Swift Current Composite High School. He retired in White City and then moved to Saskatoon in 2001. Bob was a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree and Scripture Lector. He loved to read about history, philosophy, theology and religion. He also enjoyed driving around the Province and attending and playing sports with his grandchild­ren. He was always teaching his kids and grand kids about how to fix and invent things. Dad had numerous friendship­s, most recently many at Trinity Manor in Saskatoon. In memory of Bob donations may be made to the Priest Pension and Retirement Fund, Catholic Foundation at dscf.ca (priest pension) or to the Bishop’s Annual Appeal. The Prayer Vigil will take place on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 4, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. Both services will take place at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church.
