Third person charged in Humboldt man’s death
Police have charged a third person in connection with the disappearance and death of a man whose body was found earlier this week near Humboldt.
In a media release announcing the charges against Brettin Andrew Veilleux-pelletier, 21, Saskatchewan RCMP also confirmed that remains found early Monday were those of Allan Garrioch, 20.
Garrioch was last seen leaving his home in Humboldt on Feb. 25 in the company of three unknown men. Police previously reported there had been an altercation in the home, and that it was unclear if Garrioch had left willingly.
Veilleux-pelletier was arrested Tuesday night in Prince Albert, according to an RCMP media release. He’s facing charges including first-degree murder and committing an indignity to a body, as is Tristan Daniel Morrison, 21, who was arrested Saturday.
Joshua Domenic Canvearo, 23, was also arrested Saturday. His charges include kidnapping, forcible confinement and assault with a weapon.
Garrioch’s body was found early Monday morning, following a series of ground searches that began Sunday in the Rural Municipality of Bayne.
Morrison and Canvearo remain in custody after making initial court appearances this week in Saskatoon. Veilleux-pelletier is scheduled to make his first appearance Thursday morning in Prince Albert provincial court.
