Erin Petrow says as the weather continues to get warmer, it’s the perfect time to get out into the city and experience some of the events and activities taking place.
1. Take in the symphony

2. Facial hair showdown
If you think you have one of the best beards or moustaches in the city, Saturday is the day to prove it. Blackstone Barbers & Beardsmiths hosts the first YXE Beard & Moustache Competition from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Cosmo Seniors Centre, complete with drinks, games and some glorious facial hair. 3. Youth drag show
Support some of Saskatoon’s upand-coming drag superstars at
Outsaskatoon’s Littlest Queers on the Prairies show this Sunday from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Capitol Music Club. All ages are welcome and entry is by $5 donation.
4. Kid science
Nurture your child’s curious nature at Nutrien Wonderhub this Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon during their Chilly Science workshop, which explores melting properties of ice and snow and lets kids create a few crafts to take home. Tickets cost $15 and can be purchased online at shop.wonderhub.ca.
5. Skate and slide
The Holliston Community Association hosts an outdoor day of fun at the Holliston Community Rink and the toboggan hill, located behind Holliston School on Saturday between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Bring your skates or a toboggan to join in the fun. Refreshments on site will be provided by Tim Hortons.
