BUDD (NEE PENDLE), Clara

It is with profound sadness the family announces the passing of Clara Marie Budd. Clara passed away peacefully at Royal University Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband Terry, son Mitch (Jenny) Pendle and their children Hayley and Gabriella, mother Elizabeth Pendle (Ardean), sisters Brenda Major (Marty), Susan (Rodney) Sobchyshyn, Polly Pendle (Kyle), sisters-in-law Audrey Woloshyn, Bernice (Don) Nesbitt, Elaine (Wayne) Read and Gail (Dave) Prentice, as well as many nieces, nephews, BFF Myrna (Kelly) Head and many friends.

Clara was predecease­d by her father Omar, sister Loreen, nephew Tysene, mother-in-law Irene, father-in-law Reg, niece Pam, great niece Nicole and brother-in-law Ed.

Clara was the second daughter born to Omar and Liz on January 7, 1962 in Spalding, Saskatchew­an. She attended Spalding School for her elementary years. She went on to graduate from Naicam High School in 1980.

Clara made her home in Saskatoon where she was given the gift of motherhood with the birth of her son Mitch. Her tenacious attitude served her well over the years and in 1987 she received her Business Administra­tion Diploma from Saskatoon Business College.

Clara began her career at Household Trust in Saskatoon before accepting a position at Concentra Financial where she worked for 12 years. During this time she received several promotions and reached the pinnacle of her career in 2008 when she was offered a position as Banking System Manager at Affinity Credit Union. Her many accolades included a Masters Certificat­e in Project Management. Clara was highly respected in the financial community as is evident in the profession­al relationsh­ips she developed and maintained throughout her career.

In 1993 Clara met the love of her life, Terry who she married on July 13, 2013. Throughout their years together Clara and Terry enjoyed golfing, fishing, travelling and entertaini­ng family and friends. They also enjoyed attending sporting events and cheering on their favourite teams the Toronto Blue Jays and the Saskatchew­an Roughrider­s.

Clara volunteere­d for various charities that were dear to her heart including the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation. A very special thanks to Dr. Vickie Martin and the oncology team at Royal University Hospital for the extraordin­ary care Clara received.
