1. Watch the Ward 3 forum
With the Saskatoon civic election approaching on Nov. 9, you can tune into a virtual Ward 3 forum Saturday at 1 p.m. Situated on the city's far west side, Ward 3 is the only ward without an incumbent and has more names on the ballot than any other constituency in the city — eight in total. For more information and dates for the remaining wards 1, 5 and 7 forums, — which are facilitated by the Saskatoon Public Library and presented in partnership with the Saskatoon Unitarians — visit saskatoonlibrary.ca.
2. Let the dogs have some fun
Dogs and their owners are invited to try to work their way through Crossmount Cider Company's bale maze on Saturday or Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pets are required to remain on their leashes at all times and only two dogs and their owners are allowed into the maze at any time. Owners are also expected to clean up after their pets. Entrance is by donation with all proceeds going to support New Hope Dog Rescue.
3. Have a snapping-good time with the Addams family
No one has to come to see 'em — instead the Addams Family Musical Comedy is coming to you on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Presented by the Saskatoon Summer Players, the approximately twohour-and-15 minute production (including intermission) will be streamed live to ticket purchasers while actors perform onstage at the Remai Arts Centre. Ticket prices vary and can be purchased online at saskatoonsummerplayers.ca.
4. Get the drive-thru Halloween experience
Starting Saturday and continuing until Oct. 31, you and a car full of friends or family can visit Spooktacular YXE, a drive-thru Halloween experience presented by POW City Kinsmen and World Trade Center Saskatoon at Prairieland Park, supporting Jim Pattison Children's Hospital Foundation and Telemiracle. Two different rides are available: one for all ages on Saturday and Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and one for adults (ages 16-plus) on both days from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Each vehicle requires one ticket, which can be purchased at spooktacularyxe.com.
5. Listen to Oktoberfest
Enjoy an hour of Oktoberfest tunes performed by the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra through livestream on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at saskatoonsymphony.org.
