CRICKET CHAMPION’S TROPHY
June 1 – June 18
If you’re not familiar with the rules of cricket — a game enjoyed by nearly half the world’s population — don’t worry: it’s not actually that important. The sport is a little like baseball, with longer games, more drinking, and better uniforms. Its biggest event is the Champion’s Trophy, in which eight national teams (entirely, we’ll concede, former British colonies) will compete for glory. England and Wales host this year’s tournament and — fun talking point! — Bangladesh returns for the first time since 2006.
