Dubé and Nicolas added to Team East for 2017 U Sports East-west Bowl

New Bishop's Gaiters head coach Cherif Nicolas was named to the East coaching staff and Gaiters' kicker Vincent Dube was added to the East's roster on Tuesday as the final rosters and coaching staffs for the annual Valero East-west Bowl was announced by U SPORTS.

This year the five-day event will take place at Université Laval. The week’s festivitie­s culminate with the game on Saturday at Stade Telus in Quebec City.

Dube, handled the bulk of the placekicki­ng and punting duties last year for the Purple and Silver. He finished 9-of11 on field goal attempts including a longest made field goal of 37 yards. His 63 punts averaged 38.3 yards. He booted a longest of 56-yards and had 10 punts finish inside the 20-yard line.

Nicolas, will coach the East's receivers squad that includes a pair of Gaiters in Dashaun Smellie and Michael Nelson. Nelson and Smellie were previously announced along with Mathieu Breton and Matthew Ouellet De Carlo.
