Fairyland

-

Thank you, Ann Davidson, for your recent article about the tiny fairy doors at Brome Lake Books. I am delighted that the owners of our village bookstore realize the importance of a bit of magic in everyone’s life. Not just for the children but for those of us who have forgotten what it’s like to believe in anything we can’t see, touch, or feel.

Last winter I took my grandchildren to Brome Lake Books and we peered down the loonie-sized hole in the floor and marvelled at the little fairy doors in the walls. One had a tiny book inside.

“Why don’t you get a fairy door at your house?” my granddaughter asked. That got me thinking, but I didn’t get out my carpentry tools till I read that article.
