René-lévesque Blvd construction clears final hurdle

Municipal Council endorsed the memoranda at its regular meeting, completing requirements for the awarding of the construction contract. The exact schedule for and accesses to the construction should be specified in the coming days.

Although the work will start a little later than originally hoped, the City will be able to provide access to the site of the future "C" school according to the schedule requested by the Commission scolaire de la region de Sherbrooke.

The first two sections of Renélévesque Blvd will be constructed over a distance of 2.75 km in order to connect the roundabout between Industriel and Portland boulevards to Henri-labonne St. This work will require an investment of $19 million, including applicable taxes.
