Warrior’s Fantasy

-

In days of war I met her In the heat of battle I let her Get away, I couldn’t stay; Now, my love lives o’er the ocean Thoughts of her put my heart in motion To see her, I pray, oh, God, I pray!

Those pretty blue eyes I see in my mind How she treated me in ways so pleasing and kind How I wanted to stay, to stay; So now, I sit in this plane in hope to find her again To ease, to correct a past I can no longer restrain Oh, God, show me the way, the way!

To see her again, to expose my ailing heart To join her in peace, and not again have to part ‘Til our hair turns gray, turns gray’ To hold her in my arms, and care for her To exchange our charms to be her only lover ‘Til comes life’s last day! ‘Til comes life’s last and final day!
